Changing Language

Behave Pro supports writing Scenarios in 25 different languages for projects. How do you change the editor's language, and what's available?

Writing down scenarios discussed amongst the three amigos (Product Owner, Developer, Testers) is a great way to capture discovered details and jog the memory, but this only works if everyone involved clearly understand the language they are written in.

Behave Pro's editor supports 25 different languages ranging from Arabic to Russian for writing scenarios in the Given When Then format; languages include English, Français, Deutsche, Niederländisch, العربية, հայերեն, Català, български, Česky, Suomi, Galego, Gaeilge, हिंदी, Magyar, Bahasa Indonesia, Italiano, Latviešu, Norsk, Português, Română, русский, Español, Svenska, Türkçe, Dansk, and Ελληνικά.

The language used by the editor in Behave Pro is set at the project level within Jira and cannot be customised for individual scenarios and features. It's worth noting that switching the project language for an existing project will not automatically translate existing scenarios to the new language - we don't want anything getting lost in translation!

The project language defaults to English but this can be changed from the project settings page: Project settings > Behave Pro > Cucumber Support

Please note, project language support is available only for classic type projects for Behave Pro Cloud and Behave Pro Server at the moment. If you are using git connected project Supported Language will be disabled but it will be available on Git connected project type soon.
